Most of 3D models were build using Blender or Maya. Few were bought as third party assets, mostly the ones that would take too long to model or that had the least importance on the project.

Make sure the assets had the least polycount as possible, Hero assets would excuse a more complex detail with more polycounts, and possibly also more UV seams.
