Connecting your headset to your computer makes it easy to test quick changes to your project on the fly. The Meta Link App allows Unity’s “Play Mode” to run directly on your headset, so you can test changes quickly in VR.
Head to your Meta Quest Developer Hub > Device Manager, and look for the “Link” section in the center of the page. If you don’t already have the Meta Link App downloaded, there will be a “Download” button in the middle of this section.

Once the Link App is downloaded, it will prompt you to log into the Meta account associated with your Developer Hub.
Make sure your Quest headset is on and connected to the same network as your computer. With the Link App open, follow these steps:
When no device has been paired before, the Link App will often automatically detect your headset and launch the connection process. If that doesn’t happen, head to Devices > Add Headset

You will then either see a collection of possible devices (Quest 2, Quest 3s, etc) or your device. Either select the appropriate device type and click “Continue” or simply hit “Continue”.

Choose either “Link” or “Air Link” (Wired or wireless) to connect to your headset. The “Link” option requires a USB to USB-C connector with very specific data transfer capabilities, while the “Air Link” option requires a strong Wifi connection.
Choosing the Link type that’s right for your workflow will take some testing, so take some time down the road to test both.

Then head to your headset to complete the connection process.

Go to Settings > Link and look for your computer in the list of available connections. If your headset isn’t there, test the following steps:
